This week I have the honor of being invited to two different events to speak. The first invitation came over a month ago when I was invited to come speak at a youth lock-in at First Baptist Concord, NC. I’ll be there Friday night for what I’m sure will be a good time. The second invitation came last night about 11:00 for Big Coffee this Wednesday. I’m super excited about this.

Each time I am invited to speak somewhere the words of St. Francis of Assisi ring in my soul. He said, “It is no use walking anywhere to preach unless our walking is our preaching.” Those words seem both simple and deep at the same time to me. We all know that our walking should match our preaching. However, knowing something is true is different from living it out.

Christians are not only called to preach and believe the gospel but to also live it out. I encourage you to live each and every moment of your life with the sole purpose of preaching it for Christ.

I hope the only reason I am ever asked to preach somewhere is because my life has proven that I truly believe and live what I say. The most important sermon you will give involves no words only actions.
