Last week the youth had their Christmas Progressive Dinner. We had a great time! At one stop during the evening I asked the youth to share their favorite youth group moments from the past year. This year the youth and I have made a lot of memories.
Some of those memories are from the first lock-in in the CLC building where Lacy broke her foot. I hope I never forget playing shut the door at Passport Camp or the countless stories I have told during our games of “Murder.” I’m sure the youth will not forget the wild adventures of West Virginia and
the way God made Himself real to us there. I know I will never forget being ambushed by shaving cream on the beach. 2009 has been a great year with a lot of great memories!
The most amazing youth moments of this year for me came in the quieter moments of Bible Study. We have an amazing group of teenagers who are growing closer to God. Each time we meet for Bible Study, I leave amazed at the honesty and passion our youth approach God with. I’m looking forward to 2010, not because of the crazy and funny moments that I’m sure will come during our many youth events but for the growth that I know will happen in our youth. Please keep our youth in your prayers as we strive to grow closer to God.
