I am so looking forward to this Friday. This Friday will be my first day with no church activities in 19 days. I’m ready for it. For the last two weeks I feel like I’ve been running from one major event to another. It will be nice to have a day of rest. Not only have I been working a lot these pass two weeks but I have also been sick. A few people have pointed out the connection with being sin and run down. I guess I might be a little of both.
Over these past two weeks every time I have felt like I couldn’t go any further I have been renewed by God. It has been amazing just to watch how God has sent me those extra little shots of inspiration. They have come in a verity of different ways.
A huge shot of energy came for me last Thursday night. I was the speaker at Route 7, the worship service lead by college students on campus. The dedication and faith of these young people inspires me. The service was amazing not because of anything anyone did but because of how open the students were to God. We all truly worshiped. The moments that followed my sermon were truly amazing, not because of what I had done but because of the reverence and response of the students to God.
The students were nice enough to thank me for my sermon and tell me that it ministered to them. But the truth is they minister to me. As a minister it is hard to find a place where you can be ministered to. I am thankful for the students for ministering to me.
