Dr. Dennis Atwood

Dr. Atwood has served as pastor of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive since 2003. He has also served churches in Missouri, Louisianna, and Mississippi. He received his B.A. from Mississippi College, Master of Divinity degree from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, and Doctor of Ministry degree from Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Atwood has also competed post-doctoral studies at the Duke University Divinity School. He has had numerous articles and sermons published. His first book, Words That Shape and Form: A 40 Day Journey in Spiritual Formation, was published in 2008 by the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship. Dr. Atwood also serves as an Adjunct Instructor of Religion at Mount Olive College. He is married to Ann and they have three active boys. He enjoys playing golf, coaching his sons in baseball and basketball, watching Duke basketball and St. Louis Cardinals baseball, and being outdoors. Check out the Pastor's blog.

 

Rev. Felicia Fox
Minister of Youth and Children

Rev. Fox joined the staff of First Baptist Church of Mount Olive in 2009. She has served churches across North Carolina as a minister to youth and children. She has also ministered in the Bahamas and Poland. Her education includes a B.A. in Religion from Mars Hill College and a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Christian Education from the M. Christopher White School of Divinity at Gardner-Webb University. She enjoys helping young people see God in their everyday lives.  Check out Felicia's blog.
